Our Wine Estate

HISTORY. 400 years of wine-growing history – tradition that naturally obliges. Birgit sees this obligation in a holistic way. The typical regional architecture of the farm, listed as a historical monument, was gradually restored with a great deal of love and intuition. Home to Birgit, her sons and parents, and of course, her wines. Burgenland architectural history to see, feel and experience.

Commitment to her employees. Many of them have been with the company for more than 15 years, they live Birgit’s philosophy and passion with her and enjoy great trust and a relaxed, happy working environment

But also trust in the next generation. Just as Birgit was able to slowly grow into the winery and take over more and more responsibility from father Paul, her sons Felix and Max are now also gaining a foothold in a profession that is lived here as a vocation.

Tradition is not the workship of ashes, but the passing on of fire.

BROTHERS AND SONS.

The next generation at Braunstein. Twins. Same and yet, completely different. Two minds, two personalities.

Felix and Max – two different minds now work together.

Two vintners – young and full of energy, the two find their way back to their family and roots from abroad and now let their first ideas and thoughts become wine.

It will be exciting to see what the future will bring at Braunstein. A lot of interesting and new things, that’s for sure. But also, traditional – only interpreted a little differently.

The Braunstein brothers now have a lot of freedom to write their chapter in family history and are supported by the experience of previous generations.

Parents should give their children two things: roots and wings.
